Tuna Mushroom Casserole recipe



  1. In a large saucepan, bring stock to a boil.
  2. Add the beans, onion, mushrooms, celery, garlic clove, dill, salt and pepper and return to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat, then cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
  4. Dissolve cornflour in milk and then add this to the vegetable mixture, stirring constantly.
  5. Bring to a boil for 2 minutes or until thickened.
  6. Remove from the heat and stir in Swiss cheese and mayonnaise until cheese is melted.
  7. Fold in noodles and flaked tuna.
  8. Pour into a greased medium sized baking dish.
  9. Brown the breadcrumbs in a little butter in a pan and then sprinkle on top of casserole.
  10. Bake, uncovered, at 180 degrees C (Gas Mark 4) for 25-30 minutes or until heated through.
