Beef Stroganoff-Russian Style recipe



  1. Coat beef strips with 1 tablespoon flour and salt.
  2. Brown beef strips quickly in 1 tablespoon of butter in a frying pan.
  3. Add the mushrooms, onion and garlic; cook until onion is crisp-tender for 3 to 4 min, then remove contents of pan and set aside
  4. Add 2 tablespoon butter to pan and blend in 3 tablespoon flour. Add tomato puree and the stir in the stock.
  5. Continue to stir over medium heat until thick and bubbly.
  6. Return meat and mushrooms to frying pan and stir in sour cream; cooking slowly until heated through.
  7. Cook noodles as per packet instructions and then serve the meat and sauce over hot buttered noodles.
