Minced Beef And Potato Casserole recipe



  1. Shape the minced beef into small beef patties, dust with flour, and set aside.
  2. Peel potatoes and the onions and slice thinly. Melt butter in frying pan and cook the onions in lightly, until just transparent.
  3. Remove onions and set aside, then place the beef patties in a little more butter in the pan.
  4. Brown quickly over a medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  5. Place the potatoes in bottom of casserole dish and place the beef patties and onions on top.
  6. Pour water into pan with the stock cube and deglaze the pan over a low heat for 3-4 minutes then, before the mixture boils, pour it over potatoes.
  7. Bake at 200 degrees C for 45 minutes.
