Empress Chicken

Empress Chicken recipe



  1. Prepare sauce first.
  2. Combine everything in measuring jar and stir vigorously.
  3. Store in fridge.
  4. When ready to use, shake again.
  5. Mix chicken and soy sauce.
  6. Stir in egg.
  7. Add cornflower, and mix chicken until coated.
  8. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
  9. Drain on paper towel.
  10. Place a small amount of oil in wok and heat to very hot.
  11. Add spring onions and peppers and stir fry for 30 seconds.
  12. Stir in sauce mixture (remember to stir first).
  13. Cook until thick. If it gets too thick, add some water until desired consistency.
  14. Add chicken and cook until hot and bubbly.
