2 fillets cod, cut into pieces
300g mashed potatoes
1.5 litres water
225g peeled prawns
1 tin crab meat
1 teaspoon tabasco sauce
1 tablespoon parsley
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
150g cheddar cheese
Press 2/3rds of the potatoes into a medium sized pie dish to form pie shell.
Put cod into a pan and cover with water, bring to boil, lower heat and simmer 7-8 minutes.
Add the prawns and simmer until prawn are about done. Drain off the stock and reserve.
Flake fish and add the crab meat to the fish/prawn mixtrure.
Then, place the mixture into the potato shell and set aside. Melt the butter in a frying pan, then add the flour and stir constantly; avoiding browning.
Add the milk and 200ml of the fish stock. Whisk until smooth and creamy. Add the salt, Tabasco, worcestershire and parsley and mix well.
Pour sauce over seafood mixture.
Place remaining potatoes on top of the pie and flatten and shape with a fork.
Sprinkle the pie with cheese and bake at 190 degrees C (Gas Mark 5) for 40 minutes.
