Turkey And Dumplings recipe



  1. Melt butter in large heavy frying pan.
  2. Add onion; cook and stir until tender.
  3. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
  4. Add flour and salt to frying pan; stir until smooth.
  5. Add stock, water and hot pepper sauce; cook until bubbly and thickened, stirring constantly.
  6. Stir in turkey, mixed vegetables and sour cream.
  7. Simmer over low heat until thoroughly heated.
  8. Add dumpling halves to top of hot turkey mixture.
  9. Simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes.
  10. Cover; simmer an additional 15 to 20 minutes or until dumplings are no longer doughy.
  11. Sprinkle with paprika.

Serve with choice of potatoes or left over mash.
