Clam Chowder recipe



  1. Steam clams above300ml water in a steamer for 5 minutes.  
  2. Re- serve liquid to use as clam stock.
  3. Dice the clams.
  4. Cook the potatoes separately in boiling water for 5-10 min.
  5. Drain. In a large pot, saute the onion, peppers, celery, & paprika in butter until the vegetables are tender, about 6 min.
  6. Add flour, stirring well so that mixture does not brown.
  7. Add clam stock, clam base, potatoes, & clams.
  8. Allow to simmer for 15 min.
  9. Add tomatoes & simmer for 5-10 min until clams are fully cooked., covered.


Serves 4
